Welcome back to the weblog. This edition includes the photos of the camping trip with Sharon and Geoff in September, 2006. We went to Cimarron Canyon State Park, about an hour east of Taos, NM. The highlight of this trip, in addition to the good hiking and the surrounding mountain views, was Sharon and Geoff's King Kamper.

King Kamper on the road

Here it is, stuck in construction traffic just east of Eagle's Nest Lake. Note the rack on top of the Kamper. In a few minutes, that will be the base for the floor. On the road, the only clue that this is a pop-up camper is the King Kamper logo on the side..

The kitchen section extended. You can just make out the water spout on the back of the sink. According to the time notes on the digital camera,the total time from the parking photo to this photo was four minutes!!!!

The trees at 8000 feet were just beginning to change. Later that same night, a pretty big storm ( for September) gave us a lot of rain and wind.
